Dr. Ruth Loomis is excited be opening Brookswood Animal Clinic in the lovely Brookswood Plaza to serve the the Bend community. An open house is scheduled for November first in which tours, free access to the dog wash, a raffle, free prizes and of course an opportunity to meet the staff of the clinic will all be part of the fun. The doors will be open for business the following Monday.
Ruth has been a veterinarian in Central Oregon for almost 9 years and is as passionate about the Bend Oregon community as she is about the animals she treats. Ruth and her husband Wayne moved to Bend right after her graduation from Washington State Veterinary Medical School in 2006. She became known to the community through her work at both Central Oregon Animal Hospital and more recently Blue Sky Veterinay Clinic. Now she has made the leap to small business owner in starting her own practice with a very distinct vision in mind. She wants her practice to be a place both owner and pet feel comfortable and safe and where good quality medicine meets reasonable rates.
Dr. Loomis is grateful for the support of her husband who will be helping manage the business side of things, her two daughters and all of her friends and clients who have encouraged her to make this move in her career. She also hopes to give back to the community by working with the local shelters and rescue groups to encourage adoptions and offer monthly pro bono work for some of the more challenging medical cases so thay they too can find their forever home.
The clinic anticipates an early November opening but keep checking in as they may have their doors open sooner. Dr. Loomis and her staff plan on hosting an open house prior to the official opening - raffles, give aways and free use of the dog wash will all be part of the fun!
